    The Mach IV scale was administered to 1,076 marketing practitioners. Analysis indicated that, contrary to past findings, women were significantly more Machiavellian than men, with respect to various levels of education, income, age. Compared with male marketing practitioners, women were higher on the Machiavellianism scale, perhaps by “self-selection”
