Reading and Spelling Abilities of Deaf Adolescents With Cochlear Implants and Hearing Aids
A total of 86 deaf children aged between 12 and 16 years were recruited from schools for the deaf, specialist units attached to a school, and mainstream schools. Approximately one-third used hearing aids, one-third had received a cochlear implant before 42 months, and one-third had been implanted later. The impact of fee setting procedures in a mental health center setting
Identification of Random Responders on the MMPI
Actuarial methods were tested on 80 random profiles and 80 forensic evaluatees for discriminating between random and nonrandom MMPI profiles. Both a discriminant analysis approach and clinical decision rules were highly accurate (90% or better) at correctly classifying random profiles with findings consistent with previous research
