    We examined news framing of the 2022 Russia–Ukraine war among four countries. Employing quantitative content analysis of ( n = 230) news stories, we find complex framing dynamics based on political allyship.     This study examines the relationship between selective and cross-cutting/non-partisan media exposure, perceived journalism framing, and U.S. public’s perception of China and the United States during the U.S.–China trade dispute.
