The impact of nirsevimab prophylaxis on RSV hospitalizations
Background: Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) is the leading cause of hospitalizations in infants. The approval of nirsevimab, a long-acting monoclonal antibody, has extended the potential for RSV prophylaxis to all infants. This study assesses the cost-benefit of various Nirsevimab prophylaxis strategies for infants during their first RSV season in preventing RSV-associated hospitalization in the Tuscany region, Italy. Methods: = 21,017) experie…
Optically Stimulated Luminescence (Osl) Mortar Dating Inter-Comparison Study. The Second Round of Modis, Mortar Dating Inter-Comparison Study
After an intercomparison age experiment carried out in the framework of the first MODIS (MOrtar Dating Inter-comparison Study) project, the results showed general agreement both between optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) dating laboratories and with radiocarbon ( 14 C) dating results. As the needs for the selection of samples convenient for an inter-comparison are not the same between 14 C and OSL, for the second running, it has been decided…
Learning from precedent
The liberal international order has recently come under increasing nationalist pressure, evidenced by a rise in nationalist demands to withdraw from international institutions. A growing literature examines the domestic economic, social, and political origins of this nationalist backlash against international institutions. However, less is known about the extent to which precedents of withdrawals of one country affect nationalist pressures for fu…
A New Web Score to Predict Health Status in Paediatric Patients with Chronic Diseases
Paediatric chronic diseases (CD) are characterised by their ongoing duration and the fact that they are often managed throughout the lifespan, with the need to adjust lifestyle and expectations with the limitations coming from the CD. The aim of the PENSAMI study is to not only cure the disease, but to also care for the person from a clinical and psychosocial perspective. Data will be collected from 150 paediatric patients affected by heart disea…

Luminescence and Radiocarbon Dating of Mortars at Milano-Bicocca Laboratories
This work shows the results of optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) and radiocarbon ( 14 C) dating applied to mortars of historical structures in northern Italy. All the results are compared with archaeological evidence and thermoluminescence (TL) dating of bricks. The main issue for OSL mortar dating is that the quartz grains contained in the mortar may be only partially bleached, leading to an overestimation of the sample age. In order to id…
Ceramic chronology by luminescence dating
Colourants and opacifiers of mosaic glass tesserae from Khirbet al-Mafjar (Jericho, Palestine)
The Giotto's workshop in the XXI century
Quaternary evolution of the intermontane Val d'Agri Basin, Southern Apennines
Optically Stimulated Luminescence (OSL) enables the chronology of the late Pleistocene evolution for the Val d'Agri intermontane basin of Southern Apennines to be defined in the frame of Mediterranean geodynamic and climate changes. Quartz sand from braided floodplain and alluvial fan depositional systems was analyzed using the coarse-grained, single-aliquot regenerative-dose (SAR) technique. The obtained optical ages are mostly consistent with o…
Optically stimulated luminescence dating of a stratigraphic Late Glacial–Holocene sequence in the Po plain (Bubano quarry, Bologna, Italy)
Glass-working evidences at Dürres, Albania
Thermoluminescence (TL) dating of burnt flints
Ceramic chronology by luminescence dating
