  • Fluvial dynamics and cultural succession in the middle Yangtze River

Open Access•Ao Yan, Jiangyong Wang et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Archaeological Science…•2026

  • Discriminating Arid Ecosystems and Tracking Desertification Dynamics

Open Access•Jiangyong Wang, Yi-Xiang Wang et al.•ARTICLE•Land Degradation and Development•2026

The ecosystem of the Manas River Basin, composed of mountains, oases, and deserts, constitutes an ideal natural laboratory for investigating surface processes and environmental evolution in arid regions. Elucidating the provenance, transport dynamics, and climate response mechanisms of surface sediments in this system is critical for advancing oasis ecological sustainability and desertification control. This study collected 72 surface sediment sa…

  • Hydroclimatic change over the last 2000 years in arid Xinjiang of northwest China and its role in human societies along the ancient Silk Road

    Open Access•Ao Yan, Li Liu et al.•ARTICLE•Quaternary International•2025•Referencias: 3

  • Drivers of land cover and plant compositional changes in Northeast China since the mid-Holocene

  • Antibiotic resistance in bacterial communities of the oyster Crassostrea rivularis from different salinity zones in Qinzhou Bay, Beibu Gulf, China

Open Access•Ruixuan Wang, Bing Li et al.•ARTICLE•Elementa Science of the…•2021

The oyster is one of the most abundantly harvested shellfish in the world. To explore the impact of salinity on antibiotic-resistant bacteria (ARB) and the microbial community associated with farmed oysters, oysters were taken from high-, medium-, and low-salinity zones (labeled HS, MS, and LS, respectively) in Qinzhou Bay of Beibu Gulf, China. ARB were tested with the Kirby–Bauer method. Species of ARB were confirmed by 16 S rDNA analysis. Micro…

  • Linking Holocene East Asian monsoon variability to solar forcing and Enso activity

    Open Access•Nannan Li, Arash Sharifi et al.•ARTICLE•The Holocene•2021•Citada por: 1•Referencias: 20

High-resolution proxy-based paleoenvironmental records derived from peatlands provide important insights into climate changes over centennial to millennial timescales. In this study, we present a composite climatic index (CCI) for the Hani peatland from northeastern China, based on an innovative combination of pollen-spore, phytolith, and grain size data. We use the CCI to reconstruct variations of the East Asian summer monsoon (EASM) intensity d…

  • Phytolith evidence for early agriculture in the East Liao River Basin, Northeast China
