Climate policies and individual freedom
If the climate crisis is to be addressed, carbon emissions from transport need to be reduced. ‘15 min neighbourhoods’ could make a contribution to this but populist opposition in the name of individual freedom has been a barrier. Anti-N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor (NMDAR) encephalitis is a neuroinflammatory condition mediated by autoantibodies against the GluN1 subunit of the receptor. The two main phytocannabinoids of cannabis – delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD) – have been extensively studied, and it has been shown that THC can induce transient psychosis. This article examines how policy learning and governance transform each other. The article illustrates this point by discussing the notion of regulatory law as an emotional process.
