The Impact of Anti-Bisexual Discrimination and Sexual Subjectivity on Plurisexual Women’s Mental Health
Monosexism produces pervasive, often invisible forms of discrimination that undermine plurisexual women’s mental health and can disrupt the development of positive sexual self-concepts. To better understand these impacts, this study examined the relationships between antibisexual discrimination, sexual subjectivity, and mental health among a diverse sample of plurisexual women (N = 200). Multiple regression analyses revealed that discrimination f…
Faculty Hiring Trends in Counselor Education
This study presents an 11‐year content analysis of 1514 counseling faculty job postings advertised on the Counselor Education and Supervision Network (CESNET) from 2014 to 2024. Using a deductive content analysis design, we systematically examined trends across six dimensions: annual volume, academic rank, position type, geographic region, Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) accreditation status, and …
Is Supervisee Disclosure in Supervision Universal? Preliminary Cross‐Cultural Evidence From US and Turkish Supervisee Samples
This study tested the measurement invariance (MI) of the Supervisee Disclosure in Supervision Scale (SDSS) between U.S. ( N = 211) and Turkish ( N = 168) counseling supervisees. The SDSS, originally developed and validated with predominantly U.S. supervisees, assesses the likelihood of supervisees' supervision‐related and counseling‐related disclosure in supervision. We conducted the Multi‐Group Confirmatory Factor Analysis (MGCFA) to test its co…

Counselors' challenging experience in integrated behavioral healthcare
Using a consensual qualitative research method, we interviewed 16 counselors on the challenges that they experienced when working in integrated behavioral healthcare settings. We identified five domains and 13 core ideas among all domains. We also discussed the implications for future counselor training and research

Responsibilities of Users of Standardized Tests (Rust-4E)
In April 2021, The Association for Assessment and Research in Counseling Executive Council commissioned a time-referenced task group to revise the Responsibilities of Users of Standardized Tests (RUST) Statement (3rd edition) published by the Association for Assessment in Counseling (AAC) in 2003. The task group developed a work plan to implement a recursive process for document review, gap analysis, commentary representation, bias accounting, an…
Psychometric Evidence and Measurement Invariance for Georgia Brief School Climate Inventory Scores From a Predominately Hispanic Rurally-Located Sample
The current study examined the measurement invariance (MI) of the Georgia Brief School Climate Inventory (GaBSCI) with a rural and predominately Hispanic sample (N = 413). The results present support for the one-factor structure and MI of the GaBSCI across genders and Spanish-speaking groups, but only partially for different school levels
Multicultural supervision in counseling
Utilizing a mixed‐methods approach, we examined 14 years of peer‐reviewed multicultural counseling supervision literature. Qualitative content analysis revealed six themes (e.g., interventions, supervisor/supervisee competencies) represented among four categories of methodology (e.g., quantitative, conceptual). We discuss the findings with limitations and offer further areas of multicultural supervision research and practice
Predictors for supervisee disclosure in supervision
With a sample of 222 supervisees, path analysis results revealed that supervisory role ambiguity significantly mediated the relationship between supervisory working alliance and supervisee's counseling-related disclosure in supervision. We discussed the implications for future supervision research and practices along with the limitations of the study
Social Media For Consumer Engagement
There has been interest in using social media for consumer engagement in hospitals, particularly for service design and quality improvement, but services have identified a need for guidance. This article outlines the methods used to involve stakeholders in the development of a guide for the use of social media as a consumer engagement tool for Australian public hospitals, and describes the changes to the guide and implementation findings that res…

Evidence for Measurement Invariance and Psychometric Reliability for Scores on the PHQ-4 From a Rural and Predominately Hispanic Community
The factor structure, measurement invariance, and internal consistency of the Patient Health Questionnaire for Depression and Anxiety (PHQ-4) was examined with a rural, predominately Hispanic sample (N = 711). Findings supported use of a one-factor model across gender, age groups, and Spanish-speaking groups. Counseling practice and research implications are discussed

Geriatric Nutritional Risk Index as a Screening Tool to Identify Patients with Malnutrition at a High Risk of In-Hospital Mortality among Elderly Patients with Femoral Fractures—A Retrospective Study …
This preliminary study suggested that the GNRI may be used as a screening tool to identify patients with malnutrition at a high risk of mortality among elderly patients with femoral fractures. A prospective study is needed to validate the suggestion
Development and Validation of the Supervisee Disclosure in Supervision Scale
The authors developed and initially validated the Supervisee Disclosure in Supervision Scale (SDSS). Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses with 2 independent samples revealed that the SDSS is a 17-item instrument with 2 subscales showing promising psychometric properties. The authors discuss the findings with implications for supervision training, practices, and research

Love of Nature
The Love of Nature: Hsü Hsia-k'o and his Early Travels, by Li Chi: I have enjoyed the diaries of Hsü Hsia-k'o for many years; never dilettantish, he was a veteran traveler and a thorough observer. The factual quality of his writing convinces me that his information is reliable as much as his disdain of affection, although often suggesting simplicity, ensures that his writing will always be fresh. Although all his diaries can be read with equal in…
