  • An extended family of measures for directed networks

    Open Access•M G Everett, Martin Everett et al.•ARTICLE•Social Networks•2022•Citada por: 2•Referencias: 11

  • Temporal dynamics in covert networks

    Open Access•C Broccatelli, M G Everett et al.•ARTICLE•Methodological Innovations•2016•Citada por: 5•Referencias: 41

Criminal organisations tend to be structured as a network in order to optimise flows of resource exchanges. The consolidation of these structures strengthens the criminal organisation’s capability of becoming more and more efficient over time. Recently, researchers in the field of covert networks have begun to analyse the dynamics of these networks. Thus far, the models and methods used to analyse the temporal dynamics of covert networks have com…

  • Music as Collective Invention

    Open Access•Siobhan Mcandrew, M G Everett et al.•ARTICLE•Cultural Sociology•2015•Citada por: 8•Referencias: 25

Composers generally write music alone, and we commonly understand the great figures of classical music as singular geniuses. Even where composers' social networks and friendships are of contextual interest, it is arguable that their association with other musicians arises because they choose to socialize with similar others. However, it is also possible that creative work, even for artists as solitary as composers, depends significantly on intera…

  • Ego network betweenness

    Open Access•M G Everett, Martin Everett et al.•ARTICLE•Social Networks•2005

  • Partitions and homomorphisms in directed and undirected graphs

    M G Everett, Martin Everett et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Mathematical Sociology•1980•Citada por: 3•Referencias: 1

Boyle has given a condition for defining a homomorphism in terms of minimal paths for undirected graphs. The purpose of such homomorphisms is to provide a simpler graph which will reflect the structure of the more complex graph, and thereby enable the researcher to make observations which may have been shrouded by a preponderance of nodes and edges. This paper develops Boyle's ideas and introduces further homomorphisms for directed as well as und…
