This article analyzes differences in life trajectories in Chilean young people (men and women) entering adulthood (ages 18-29). Using data from the Tenth National Survey on Youth and latent class analysis, we identify seven types of transition to adult life based on socio-demographic variables that the literature establishes as markers of adulthood, such as financial independence and having children and being head of household among others. This article analyzes some aspects of Chilean young people's (aged 15-29) sex life according to sex and socioeconomic background. Maintaining an active sex life is important for older adults of both sexes, contradicting the commonsense view according to which the relevance allocated to sex decreases significantly with age. The purpose of this study was to develop and validate a questionnaire to measure the acceptance of dating violence among young Chileans, that evaluates both victimization and perpetration perspectives.
