Our results suggest that, unlike traditional inclusion, digital financial inclusion is asso…
Labor market effects of exporter pricing behavior
Despite an extensive literature on exporter pricing behaviour, the labour market consequences of exchange rate changes remain relatively under-studied. Using a product-level trade dataset from India, we document the case of incomplete exchange rate pass-through to traded goods prices, implying that adjustments could occur through both output and input markets. Thus, we estimate the effects of currency depreciation on product market power (markup)…

Dandakatta Ritual in the Oraon Religion
In the mid-20th century, when different schools of anthropological thought flourished and marked their prominent place to understand the culture, few scholars were interested in the study of the way people understand or perceive their surroundings as well as the utterance and actions of other members. This theoretical perspective underlies two distinct approaches: one is a symbolic approach as propounded by Victor W. Turner and the second is an i…
The Trauma of Black Women in Bessie Head’s Select Novels
Before Nelson Mandela came to power in South Africa, the country's literature was basically a protest against the dehumanizing treatment of Black people by the White minority who controlled the country under the apartheid doctrine. This somehow led to a pervasive environment and socio-political instability. As a result, some authors set out to propose an ideal society for humanity while deciphering this social mystery. Bessie Head is one of them.…

Market Volatility, Monetary Policy and the Term Premium
In this article, we use time‐varying VAR models to study the effects of option‐implied measures of equity and bond market volatilities on the government bond term premium and key macroeconomic variables. We show that the high correlation between the two volatilities requires the shocks to these variables to be jointly identified. We find that a positive shock to the VIX reduces the term premium. We interpret this effect as the result of investors…
