  • Audience perception and decoding of Chinese cultural content in global cross-media context based on LLM-enhanced temporal topic modeling

Open Access•Ru Xu, Hongqing Guo et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Communication•2026

Methodological limitations in cross-cultural social media research—temporal blindness, semantic misalignment, and data sparsity—constrain understanding of how global audiences decode Chinese cultural content. This study integrates Large Language Models with temporally-weighted topic modeling to examine non-Chinese audience reception of Chinese cultural videos on YouTube within an algorithmically-mediated environment. Using an LLM-enhanced Seeded-…

  • Research on Methods for Linking Geoscience Literature and Geoscientific Data Based on Large Language Models

Open Access•Xinyu Chen, Yin Ma et al.•ARTICLE•ISPRS International Journal of…•2026

Automated linkage between geoscientific literature and datasets is essential for improving data reuse, reproducibility, and knowledge discovery, yet existing methods often struggle with implicit dataset references, heterogeneous spatial–temporal expressions, and inconsistent naming conventions. To address this problem, we propose a literature–data linkage framework that integrates candidate retrieval, large language model (LLM)-based structured e…

Open Access•Ziyang Zhan, Dongxing Jia et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Regional Science•2026

This study examines the effect of natural disasters on regional innovation in the United States between 1994 and 2018. Using a comprehensive dataset of patents and natural disasters at the county level, we employ a panel‐fixed‐effects model to estimate the causal impact of disasters on patent applications. Our findings reveal that natural disasters significantly hinder innovation, with patent applications decreasing by 2%–2.4% in 2–4 years after …

  • Prevalence and related factors of caregiving burden among family caregivers of patients with mental illness in China

Open Access•Ruibo Deng, Yongming Wu et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Psychiatry•2026

Caregiving burden is strongly linked to economic burden, impaired family functioning, and the physical and mental health of family members, while co-caregiver support mitigates this burden. These findings highlight the need for comprehensive support strategies, including economic assistance and shared-caregiving models, to alleviate caregiver burden within the mental healthcare system

    Open Access•Kai Wu, Kan Wu et al.•ARTICLE•Sustainable Development•2025•Referencias: 3

China's rapid economic growth has intensified pressure on its energy system, with persistent fossil fuel dependence driving severe air pollution and escalating carbon emissions. Accelerating the transition toward renewable energy is thus vital for achieving the nation's “dual carbon” goals. This study investigates the structural and environmental determinants of renewable energy consumption (REC) in China from 2005 to 2023 using a multi‐method ec…
