Artikkelissa tarkastellaan kansa-käsitteen käyttöä ja siihen liittyviä muutoksia ja jännitteitä Suomessa pitkällä aikavälillä 1820-luvulta 2010-luvulle. Aineistolähtöisessä artikkelissa analysoidaan neljän tapausesimerkin avulla sitä, mitä kansa-käsitteellä ja sen johdannaisilla on tehty ja miten käsitystä kansasta ja kansanomaisesta on tuotettu eri aikoina. Minority Cultures and the Making of Cultural Heritage Archives in Finland
The article analyzes the logic behind the archival policies concerning language and ethnic minorities in Finland, drawing examples from three minority groups: the Sámi, the Finnish Roma (the Kaale), and the Finland-Swedes. In this article, we examine the Folklore Archives of the Finnish Literature Society from the point of view of material on the Roma from the mid-1800s to the 2010s.
