The paper investigates the relative significance of family collectivism and minority languages as possible core values among four ethnic groups in the context of Australian society in which the English language and social structures of the majority group are dominant. Nation‐states and globalization from a multicultural perspective
This article considers approaches explaining the revival of ethnic‐nationalist phenomena in the face of globalizing influences. It argues that these are best understood in terms of ethnic identity based on the core values of a group's cultural heritage.
