Using data from the 2016 China Family Panel Studies, this paper examines the relationship between government assistance, urban/rural residency, and charitable giving. The results indicate that urban/rural residency moderates the relationship between government assistance and charitable giving in China. The mortality of IHD showed an upward trend for people aged 40 years and older in China during 2010-2015, which should be paid attention to. Therefore, some risk factors should be controlled, such as SBP, overweight/obesity.
