Humanist Ecclesiology in Theory
If John Colet’s (1467-1519) ideas were influenced by his experience of the Church, then this development ought to be traceable, to some extent, in his texts. However, this is not the case: Colet rarely made a reference to specific events or people within the works, leaving little indication of where and when a particular work was composed. John Colet and a Lost Manuscript of 1506
John Colet, the humanist, attempted clerical reform early in his tenure as Dean of St Paul's (1505–19), by reminding certain members of the cathedral personnel of the existing statutes and by seeking to impose some visitation injunctions upon them. A 1506 manuscript, containing details of these efforts, is now lost. John Colet, preaching and reform at St. Paul's cathedral, 1505–19
As a Christian humanist, Colet attempted clerical reform partly by means of preaching. Evidence from Colet's ecclesiastical life as dean of St. Paul's suggests that his success was limited by the inappropriate expression of his idealistic ecclesiology, which demanded perfection. The site, 41GV143, was identified during a reconnaissance by the Institute of Nautical Archaeology, Texas A&M University. This paper reports the initial recording of an early riverboat wreck located in the Red River between Oklahoma and Texas. The wreck is probably the Caddo lost in 1842. The visible wreckage is described and the history of the Caddo is discussed. This is the earliest western rivers steamboat investigated by archaeologists to date

A Radar Position‐fixing System for Marine Magnetometer Surveys
S A radar position‐fixing instrument utilized in a marine archaeological magnetometer survey system is discussed. The position‐fixing system provides highly accurate location data for each magnetometer reading and display for navigation purposes on a track plotter.
