The Hanging Valley Site (13HR28)
The Hanging Valley site (13HR28) is a stratified Woodland burial locale in Harrison County, Iowa. This study reports on the excavation and analyses of floral and faunal remains, artifacts and features identified from salvage work conducted in 1983. The conclusions are: (1) Holocene alluvium in the site valley coelates with the Hatcher and Camp Creek members of the De Forest Fonnation; (2) the site is situated in a “hanging valley” and is buried i…
The Predictive Validity of the Stanford Mathematics Test Across Race and Sex
The predictive validity of the Stanford Mathematics Test was examined across race and sex. This investigation included 426 students equally divided between black and white students in two separate cohorts. The Stanford Mathematics Test (Intermediate II) was administered in the sixth grade and the Stanford Mathematics Test (Advanced) was administered in the eighth grade. Correlates of Role Conflict and Role Ambiguity among Secondary School Counselors
The relationships of role conflict and role ambiguity to job satisfaction, job-related tension, and propensity to leave were investigated among 402 Arizona secondary school counselors by means of a 47-item questionnaire. Role conflict was correlated .51 with role ambiguity and negatively correlated (-.37) with job satisfaction.
