Youth Wellness Hubs Ontario (YWHO) uses GBO data provided by youth to deliver care that amplifies youth voice in decision-making about supports that are important and meaningful to them. OBJECTIVE: This article summarizes GBO data from youth receiving clinical and nonclinical servic…
Measuring integration in “Integrated Youth Services” in Canada
Background: There are various conceptual models of integration in youth health care and wellness but challenges exist when implementing these tools or surveys and putting them into practice. We will generate dialogue and share our experiences using these models in the context of embedded research and evaluation programs. The aim of these programs is to measure the extent to which services and systems are integrated, and linking this with an under…
Leveraging integrated youth services (IYS) for social prescribing
Mental health service use among youth continues to be low while treatment for substance use has been found insufficient at meeting youth needs. Youth seeking services commonly experience multiple internalizing and externalizing difficulties as well as other challenges, such as substance use, that, when are unaddressed or under-addressed, can lead to poor developmental outcomes. The need for quality integrated services addressing these issues conc…
