The effects of aromatherapy on anxiety and sleep quality in maternal women
Spatiotemporal trends of ischemic stroke burden attributable to PM2.5 from 1990 to 2021
Background: To evaluate the spatiotemporal variation in ischemic stroke attributed to particulate matter 2.5 (PM2.5) on global, regional, and national scales from 1990 to 2021 is essential for mitigating air pollution and controlling ischemic stroke. Methods: The death and disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) were extracted from the Global Burden and Disease Study (GBD) 2021. We utilized joinpoint regression and decomposition analysis to assess…
The global, regional, and national disease burden of breast cancer attributable to tobacco from 1990 to 2019
Tobacco is one important and modifiable risk factor for breast cancer. The heterogeneity in both the spatial and temporal distribution can be attributed to factors such as aging, population growth, and SDI. These findings substantiate the necessity of expediting the enforcement of tobacco-free legislation in order to safeguard populations from the detrimental effects of tobacco
The Sihailongwan Maar Lake, northeastern China as a candidate Global boundary Stratotype Section and Point for the Anthropocene series
Sihailongwan Maar Lake, located in Northeast China, is a candidate Global boundary Stratotype Section and Point (GSSP) for demarcation of the Anthropocene. The lake's varved sediments are formed by alternating allogenic atmospheric inputs and authigenic lake processes and store a record of environmental and human impacts at a continental-global scale. Varve counting and radiometric dating provided a precise annual-resolution sediment chronology f…
领导创造力期望对团队创造力的影响
Team creativity is becoming more and more essential for organizations to adapt to dynamically changing environment. Previous literature on team creativity was mainly focused on the impact of leadership behavior on employees’ creative motivation and subsequent creative performance. Less attention has been paid to employees’ cognitive response to leaders’ expectation on creativity. Therefore, based on normative reference group theory and process-or…
Reevaluation of carbonate concentration and oxygen isotope records from Lake Qinghai, the northeastern Tibetan Plateau
Mid-late Holocene temperature and precipitation variations in the Guanting Basin, upper reaches of the Yellow River
Hydrogen isotopic compositions of long-chain leaf wax n-alkanes in Lake Qinghai sediments record palaeohydrological variations during the past 12 ka
A 700-year macrophyte productivity record inferred from isotopes of macrophyte remains and bulk carbonates in Lake Koucha, northeast Qinghai–Tibetan Plateau
Soil nitrogen isotopic composition of the Xifeng loess-paleosol sequence and its potential for use as a paleoenvironmental proxy
Potential degradation effect on paleo-moisture proxies based on the relative abundance of archaeal vs. bacterial tetraethers in loess-paleosol sequences on the Chinese Loess Plateau
Precipitation changes recorded in the sedimentary total organic carbon isotopes from Lake Poyang in the Middle and Lower Yangtze River, southern China over the last 1600 years
Deglacial and Holocene Archaeal Lipid-Inferred Paleohydrology and Paleotemperature History of Lake Qinghai, Northeastern Qinghai–Tibetan Plateau
We investigate the distribution of archaeal lipids in a 5.8-m-long sedimentary core recovered from Lake Qinghai to extract regional hydroclimate and temperature signals since the last deglaciation for this important region. The paleohydrology was reconstructed from the relative abundance of thaumarchaeol (%thaum) and the archaeol and caldarchaeol ecometric (ACE) index. The %thaum-inferred lake-level record was extended to deglaciation, showing th…
Hydrological changes of the past 1400 years recorded in δD of sedimentary n -alkanes from Poyang Lake, southeastern China
Hydrogen isotopic compositions (δD) of plant leaf wax have been increasingly used for paleohydrological reconstructions over various geological timescales. Here, we analyzed downcore variations of δD values of long-chain C 31 and C 33 n-alkanes from Poyang Lake in southeastern China to infer hydrological changes recorded in terrestrial higher plants during the past 1400 years. Variations in δD values of long-chain n-alkanes were generally consist…
Solar imprints on Asian inland moisture fluctuations over the last millennium
Solar irradiance changes are thought to play an important role in natural climate variability. How the hydrological conditions were affected by solar irradiance in westerly-controlled arid central Asia (ACA) on decadal/centennial timescales remains poorly understood because of the lack of high-quality records. Here, we integrate 1.2-year-resolution x-ray fluorescence (XRF) scanner-derived carbonate accumulation estimates with 6-year-resolution bi…
Quaternary structural partitioning within the rigid Tarim plate inferred from magnetostratigraphy and sedimentation rate in the eastern Tarim Basin in China
It has been proposed that within the Tarim Basin tectonic activity has been limited since Triassic time. However, on the basis of magnetostratigraphy from the eastern Tarim Basin, which defines the chronology of sedimentation and structural evolution of the basin, we show that the basin interior has been uplifted and partitioned during Quaternary. The magnetostratigraphy was constructed from 2228 samples that yielded acceptable inclination values…
Holocene temperature fluctuations in the northern Tibetan Plateau
Arid Central Asia (ACA) lies on a major climatic boundary between the mid-latitude westerlies and the northwestern limit of the Asian summer monsoon, yet only a few high-quality reconstructions exist for its climate history. Here we calibrate a new organic geochemical proxy for lake temperature, and present a 45-yr-resolution temperature record from Hurleg Lake at the eastern margin of the ACA in the northern Tibetan Plateau. Combination with oth…
Soil carbon isotope ratios of the Zijing site, Qinling Mountains, China
A 1700-year n -alkanes hydrogen isotope record of moisture changes in sediments from Lake Sugan in the Qaidam Basin, northeastern Tibetan Plateau
We present a hydrogen isotopic record of long-chain n-alkanes in Lake Sugan to reconstruct regional moisture changes in the last 1700 years at a sampling resolution of 25 years. The δD values decreased by over 30‰ from the ‘Medieval Warm Period’ (MWP; c. ad 600–1500) to the ‘Little Ice Age’ (LIA; c. ad 1500–1850), and indicated that the moisture pattern included a relatively humid climate before the MWP, becoming drier overall in the MWP, wetter …
Organic stable carbon isotopic composition reveals late Quaternary vegetation changes in the dune fields of northern China
Vegetation changes during the late Quaternary in the dune fields of northern China are not well understood. We investigated organic carbon stable isotopic composition of surface soils, related mainly to the ratio of C 3 and C 4 plants, across a range of arid to subhumid climates in this region. Isotopic composition is weakly related to both temperature and moisture (multiple R 2 = 0.53), with the highest δ 13 C (greatest C 4 abundance) in the war…
Interplay between the Westerlies and Asian monsoon recorded in Lake Qinghai sediments since 32 ka
Two atmospheric circulation systems, the mid-latitude Westerlies and the Asian summer monsoon (ASM), play key roles in northern-hemisphere climatic changes. However, the variability of the Westerlies in Asia and their relationship to the ASM remain unclear. Here, we present the longest and highest-resolution drill core from Lake Qinghai on the northeastern Tibetan Plateau (TP), which uniquely records the variability of both the Westerlies and the…
Wet climate during the ‘Little Ice Age’ in the arid Tarim Basin, northwestern China
A relatively cold period, the ‘Little Ice Age’ (LIA), just prior to the current warm period, has been documented from many regions of the globe. However, hydrological changes (wet/dry conditions) during the LIA appear to be very different across different climatic regimes, suggesting that the position, strength and/or pattern of atmospheric circulation could have changed significantly in the past. Therefore, paleohydrological studies may have som…
