Association between incorrect posture and curve types in adolescent idiopathic scoliosis
Background Screening for adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS) has progressed considerably in recent years. However, specific physical indicators for accurately determining spinal curve types are lacking. This study aimed to explore the association between incorrect posture and curve types in AIS. Methods We analyzed data from 10,453 students who underwent full-spine evaluation in the outpatient department between 2022 and 2023. Assessments inclu…
Structural Polarization and the Digital–Physical Misalignment
As a novel urban leisure activity, Citywalk is reshaping the spatial organization of urban tourism resources and spatial experience patterns. This phenomenon provides a crucial entry point for understanding new tourist–destination relationships from the perspective of spatial behavior. This paper takes Harbin, an Internet-Famous City (IFC), as a case study and integrates multi-source data, including pedestrian trajectories, social media texts, an…
Learning Before Testing
We develop a new test for conditional moment restrictions via nonparametric series regression, with approximating functions selected by Lasso. A key novelty of our approach is to account for the effect of the data-driven selection, yielding a new critical value constructed on the basis of a nonstandard truncated-Gaussian asymptotic approximation. We show that the test is correctly sized and attains a well-defined sense of adaptiveness that may re…

Uniform Nonparametric Inference for Spatially Dependent Panel Data
This article proposes a uniform functional inference method for nonparametric regressions in a panel-data setting that features general unknown forms of spatio-temporal dependence. The method requires a long time span, but does not impose any restriction on the size of the cross section or the strength of spatial correlation. The uniform inference is justified via a new growing-dimensional Gaussian coupling theory for spatio-temporally dependent …
Deciphering the sensitivity of urban canopy air temperature to anthropogenic heat flux with a forcing-feedback framework
The sensitivity of urban canopy air temperature ( T a ) to anthropogenic heat flux ( Q A H ) is known to vary with space and time, but the key factors controlling such spatiotemporal variabilities remain elusive. To quantify the contributions of different physical processes to the magnitude and variability of Δ T a / Δ Q A H (where Δ represents a change), we develop a forcing-feedback framework based on the energy budget of air within the urban c…
Global Research Trends and Hotspots on Mitochondria in Acute Lung Injury from 2012–2021
This bibliometric analysis reveals the research directions and frontier hotspots of mitochondria in ALI/ARDS, which has shown a rapid growth trend in annual publication numbers. mtDNA, mitophagy, and apoptosis have been the most active research areas, while studies on mitochondrial transfer in stem cells have become a hot topic in recent years
