Cooperative Network Learning for Large-Scale and Decentralized Graphs
Graph representation learning has become a vital tool for capturing intricate relationships within networked systems. However, as graphs scale up, data privacy concerns and regulatory restrictions often isolate data within different institutions, hindering collaborative analysis. While federated learning (FL) and swarm learning (SL) offer decentralized solutions, FL relies on a central coordinator, and SL struggles with non-I.I.D. graph data, lim…

Chinese Policy Responses to Covid ‐19, Trust in Government, and Cultural Worldviews
Using Policy Feedback Theory and Grid Group Cultural Theory, we show how COVID‐19 policy stringency and individuals' cultural worldviews influence trust in different levels of Chinese government. Relying on the Oxford COVID‐19 Government Response Tracker (OxCGRT) and independent surveys in 2020 and 2022, we find that, as expected, Chinese respondents trust the central government more than local governments in 2020, but that increasing stringency …
Governing Online Platforms Through Informal Subcontracting
The rapid development of online platforms has resulted in notable governance challenges worldwide. While governments and platform companies often struggle and compete with each other in Western countries, scholars generally view the interaction between the two in China as cooperative. Given that platform companies, after all, are private organizations, how should we understand the nature of their relationship with the government in China? Further…
Liability of origin imprints
In transforming emerging economies, many state-owned enterprises (SOEs) underwent privatization, transferring property rights from the state to private entities. This transition not only facilitated the establishment of entrepreneurial family firms but also encouraged the emergence of privatized family firms as property rights were transferred to individuals and families. Consequently, the roots of property rights in these settings can be traced …
The effect of percussion massage therapy on the recovery of delayed onset muscle soreness in physically active young men—a randomized controlled trial
Background Delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) is a common condition among physically active individuals, often resulting in reduced performance and discomfort. Although percussive massage treatment (PMT) is widely used as a recovery tool, there is limited evidence supporting its efficacy compared to traditional methods such as static stretching. Objective To investigate the effect of PMT on recovery from DOMS in physically active young men. Met…

Does early publishing in top journals really predict long-term scientific success in the business field
The soaring number of researchers has led to increasingly intense competition in academia. Early identification of scientists’ potential is a practical but difficult issue currently attracting escalating attention. This study takes the business field as an example and explores whether early publishing in top journals is an effective yardstick to recognise scientists who will have better academic performance in their careers. We extract the career…
