Blunted diurnal interleukin-6 rhythm is associated with amygdala emotional hyporeactivity and depression
Here we show that the blunted interleukin-6 diurnal rhythm predicts depressive symptoms, modulated by amygdala emotional hyporeactivity and gene-stressor interactions. These findings indicate a potential mechanism underlying vulnerability to depressive disorders, suggesting their early detection, prevention, and treatment through the understanding of immune system dysregulation

We analyzed the relationships between forgetfulness and social participation, social contact, and social support by municipality to develop community diagnosing indicators. The analysis subjects included 105 municipalities that agreed to provide data for the 2013 Survey of Needs in Spheres of Daily Life in Japan ( n = 338,659 people). Historical aspects of a local cluster of individuals with lysinuric protein intolerance (LPI) were studied in a sample of patients and in a mass-screened population in a northern area of Japan.
