Background: Resident leadership is important to the quality of life in public housing communities in urban areas. Barriers to Building Wealth Among Black High-Income Earners
This study uses mixed methods to investigate the factors influencing engagement with financial advisors among high-income Black individuals. Results suggest that income and educational background are pivotal determinants of seeking financial advice, while personal knowledge of finances, risk tolerance, and owning stock and brokerage accounts show no significant impact. Segregation in Federally Subsidized Low-Income Housing in the United States
Earlier studies of subsidized housing assume that segregation is a manifestation of white prejudice, and that the Fair Housing Act of 1968 would significantly remedy inequalities in housing and, in the process, narrow the socioeconomic gap between racial groups.
