  • Complex raw materials and the supply system

    Open Access•B S Zhang, Xiaotong Wu et al.•ARTICLE•Archaeometry•2021•Citada por: 3•Referencias: 12

X‐ray fluorescence (XRF), X‐ray diffraction (XRD) and Raman spectroscopy were employed to analyse the chemical compositions and phase structures of nine pieces of jade artefacts unearthed from Sujiacun, a Longshan Culture (2400–2000 bce ) site in coastal Shandong, eastern China. The results of the analyses indicated these samples were primarily made from multiple raw mineral materials, including antigorite, actinolite, clinochlore, turquoise and …

  • Lead Isotope Analyses Revealed the Key Role of Chang'an in the Mirror Production and Distribution Network During the Han Dynasty

    Open Access•Yingzi Zhangsun, Y Z Zhangsun et al.•ARTICLE•Archaeometry•2017•Citada por: 16•Referencias: 7

Chang'an (now Xi'an) was the capital of the Western Han Dynasty and the starting point of the Silk Road. In the light of the importance of Chang'an as the centre of politics, economy and cultural interaction, the overarching question proposed in this paper is focused on its role in the mirror production and distribution network during Han period.
