A sense of responsibility
Citizens’ perceptions of their responsibility for coproduction, as well as those of the government, are critical because mismatches may lead to service failure. Using multiple datasets (N = 1,165), our results indicate that higher levels of perceived citizen responsibility increase individual coproduction activities, whereas higher levels of perceived government responsibility decrease these activities at the coproduction delivery stage.
