Bad Behavior, Ethnicity, and Level of School Diversity
This article examines the relationship between discipline problems, ethnicity, and the diversity level of schools. Four levels of diversity in schools were created. Child Delinquents
This article investigates child delinquency (offenders younger than 13 years of age). The population of child delinquents under various dispositions in the state of Louisiana, at one point in time, is described. Comparing Performance Test Scores of Juvenile Delinquents with the General Population of Students
This article compares the performance scores of juvenile delinquents who were under various court dispositions in the state of Louisiana in 2008 with the scores of all other students who took the same tests. Results clearly demonstrate that delinquents score much lower than other students
Student Displacement in Louisiana After the Hurricanes of 2005
Focusing on the Louisiana public school system, this report explores the experiences of students displaced by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita: their movements among schools, the durations of enrollments at each site, and time out of school. It also documents the effects of these movements on the state's public education system during the first academic year following the hurricanes, as reported by 415 school principals in survey responses
