  • Reimagining the vividness of visual imagery questionnaire as a single item screener for aphantasia

Open Access•Merlin Monzel, John W Pickering et al.•ARTICLE•Consciousness and Cognition•2026

Despite criticism, the Vividness of Visual Imagery Questionnaire (VVIQ) has emerged as the gold standard for identifying visual aphantasia (i.e., the absence or stark reduction of visual imagery). • Effects of Punishing Different Bands of IRTS on DRL Responding

    Open Access•Jeff S Topping, John W Pickering•ARTICLE•Psychological Reports•1972

The present study compared the effects of punishing different bands of noncriterion IRTs during a DRL 20-sec. schedule on bursts of responding. Results indicated that punishing relatively short or long noncriterion IRTs was equally effective, as contrasted with a control group, in producing a significant decrease in the percentage of bursts. Findings were discussed in terms of a stimulus feedback interpretation of bursts
