  • Holocene summer temperature record based on branched tetraethers in Northeast China

    Open Access•Zeyang Zhu, Jing Wu et al.•ARTICLE•The Holocene•2023•Citada por: 1•Referencias: 13

The temperature evolution during the Holocene shows conflicting patterns and yields the controversy regarding whether the Holocene followed a warming or cooling trend. Resolving this controversy is critical for understanding the underlying mechanisms of climate change and evaluating global warming on a longer timescale. Here we present a quantitative summer temperature reconstruction based on branched glycerol dialkyl glycerol tetraethers analyze…

  • Geochemical evidence of the sources of aeolian sands and their transport pathways in the Minqin Oasis, northwestern China

Open Access•Xiaozong Ren, Xiaoping Yang et al.•ARTICLE•Quaternary International•2014

  • Recent palaeolimnological change recorded in Lake Xiaolongwan, northeast China

    Open Access•Virginia N Panizzo, Anson W Mackay et al.•ARTICLE•Quaternary International•2013

Lake Xiaolongwan is a closed maar lake located in the Long Gang Volcanic Field, northeast China. Core XLW2 was collected in 2007 from the central region of the lake and provides a palaeoecological reconstruction over the past ca. 130 years (dated using radiometric methods: 210Pb and 137Cs). Diatom floristic changes and catchment productivity (carbon isotope ratios) were analysed within the core. Indicators of atmospheric pollution (XRF and SCP in…

  • A 1000-yr record of environmental change in NE China indicated by diatom assemblages from maar lake Erlongwan

Open Access•Luo Wang, Patrick Rioual et al.•ARTICLE•Quaternary Research•2012

Past environmental changes based on diatom relative abundances have been inferred from the maar Lake Erlongwan in northeast China. The limnology of Lake Erlongwan is affected by the strongly seasonal regional climate. The composition of diatom assemblages, in turn, responds to changes in the seasonal duration of ice cover in winter, water-column turnover in spring and autumn, and thermal stratification in summer. Statistical analysis of the sedim…

  • Development of a diatom-based transfer function for conductivity and its application to reconstruct recent palaeolimnological changes in the Badain Jaran desert, Inner Mongolia, China

    Open Access•Patrick Rioual•ARTICLE•Quaternary International•2012

  • Dust records from varved lacustrine sediments of two neighboring lakes in northeastern China over the last 1400 years

Open Access•Guoqiang Chu, Qing Sun et al.•ARTICLE•Quaternary International•2009
