The seven volumes of J. K. Rowling's story of Harry Potter enjoy stunning popularity worldwide. One of the reasons is Rowling's insight into fundamental psychological processes. Redecision Therapy with Personality Disorders
This article describes how redecision therapy is applied in the Psychotherapeutic Centre de Viersprong in the Netherlands. A case example demonstrates the use of redecision therapy to change the script of a 42-year-old patient who had personality problems for more than 20 years. The strengths and some weaknesses of redecision therapy are discussed, and some research on redecision therapy is described. McNeel (1977) demonstrated favorable results …

Experiences of Patients after Short-Term Inpatient Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy
This article presents the results of interviews with 14 ex-patients four years after a short-term inpatient psychotherapy in which transactional analysis was used as one of the methods. These interviews show that for some patients the positive results of the psychotherapy did not hold; their symptoms recurred and they sought help again. This article describes the use of TA as a cognitive therapy in the treatment of borderline personality disorder. The pathology of the borderline patient is considered to be the result of stagnation in the structural development of the Child ego state.
