The article is devoted to the study of porcelain production technology in Europe in the 1880s — 1910s. Ceremonial pectorals from the Tuvan Valley of the kings
The article examines in detail two pectorals from elite burials in Tuva, namely from grave 5 in Arzhan-2 and grave 9 in Chinge-Tey I burial mounds. The images on these ceremonial objects and their morphological features were compared. The general patterns of the ornament and, to some extent, the iconography of the animal figures are extremely similar on both subjects. The article describes a small collection of finds from the Mezhegei settlement with the total of 105 items which were included in the collection of the State Hermitage in 1987. The artifacts were discovered by the Tuvan archaeological expedition of Moscow State University under the leadership of L. R. Kyzlasov in 1960. The floors of Smolensk churches of the 12th–13th centuries
In 17 of 21 Smolensk’ 12-13 century buildings there were found floor remains with different state of preservation. Some were found quite intact in significant area in situ, and other are represented with single findings of glazed tiles. Neither smalt, nor slate slabs were used in that buildings. The paper features the results of studying the fortifications of Sarymambash-Kermen fortified settlement in the Crimea. The available data allows to suggest that Sarymambash-Kermen fortified settlement was built by Yashlovsky beks not earlier than the 1360–80s and used as their fortified residence until the first third of the 18th century.
