Canadian youth and parents in our sample provided detailed descriptions on how the COVID-19 pandemic impacted their wellbeing and the strategies they used to reduce these impacts as much as possible. There is a need for support both at-home and in-school, emphasizing the importance of having a range of programs that address challenges across all facets of youths' lives
Does One Health need an ontological turn
One Health has gained global prominence in recent years. Alongside its emergence, there have been extensive social science critiques. In this contribution, we make the case for the value of recent theoretical discussions in the field of anthropology - sometimes referred to as an 'ontological turn'. This paper examines the atmosphere of mistrust that permeated the response to the tenth Ebola epidemic in Eastern DRC (2018–2020). The concept of an ‘atmosphere of mistrust’ that we develop in this article directs attention to the elusive-yet-pervasive presence of mistrust in interactions between responders and communities during the Ebola epidemic. BACKGROUND: In 2015, the second cycle of the CONCORD programme established global surveillance of cancer survival as a metric of the effectiveness of health systems and to inform global policy on cancer control.
