Popularity Dynamics and Intrinsic Quality in Reddit and Hacker News
In this paper we seek to understand the relationship between the online popularity of an article and its intrinsic quality. INTRODUCTION: We used agent-based simulation to examine the problem of time-varying confounding when estimating the effect of an adverse event on hospital length of stay.
