Romani (British) Gypsy, Roma, and Irish Traveller children remain significantly overrepresented in England’s child welfare system. This perspective paper extends the work of Allen and Hamnett (Citation2022) by analysing publicly available data from the Department for Education (DfE) between 2010 and 2024 to assess disproportionality in the number of children looked after by the state. Sarcopenia is one of the most important health problems in advanced age. In 2019, the European Working Group of Sarcopenia in Older People (EWGSOP) updated the operational diagnostic criteria for identification of people with sarcopenia (EWGSOP2). Disproportionate exposure to adverse environmental conditions is part of the complex cycle of dispossession and racial discrimination faced by marginalized minorities in Europe—primarily the Roma.
