    Τό 1981 καί 1982, στή διάρκεια δοκιμαστικών τομών κοντά στή βόρεια πάροδο του θεάτρου του "Αργούς, ανακαλύφθηκε μία τάφρος μήκους περίπου 3,70 μ. Περιείχε περισσότερα άπό 1000 θραύσματα πήλινων ειδωλίων καθώς καί 63 θραύσματα άπό μήτρες. Τά ειδώλια άπό τά δποΐα ορισμένα είναι χειροποίητα, κατανέμονται άπό τόν 6° μέχρι τίς αρχές του 3ου αί. π.Χ. μέ περίοδο ακμής τόν 5° αι. π.Χ.
