Exploring College Men’s Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Vaccine Behavior and Intention in the United States
The purpose of this study was to measure the HPV vaccine behaviors and intentions of college-aged men. 493 participants, who identified as “male” or “trans man”, from a large university in the Mid-Atlantic were included in this study. Rape myths are false beliefs about sexual violence that shift blame to the victim rather than the perpetrator. The Illinois Rape Myth Acceptance (IRMA) scale measures these myths, but critiques have led to the creation of gender-neutral versions.
