  • Diversified subsistence patterns and their influencing factors revealed by ancestral paleodiet during the first millenium BC in Northwest Yunnan, China

    Open Access•Zining Zou, Qing Yang et al.•ARTICLE•The Holocene•2025•Citada por: 1•Referencias: 68

The in-depth research into how prehistoric human subsistence patterns responded to environmental shifts during the transcontinental spread of crops, livestock, and cultural interactions between the second and first millenium BC is a pivotal scientific endeavor that has aroused widespread attention. Northwest Yunnan, as a vital corridor for human migration, facilitated ancient human dispersals and fostered cultural exchanges. Analyzing prehistoric…

  • Forensic efficiency evaluation of a novel 22-STR panel for kinship testing in Eastern Chinese Han population

Open Access•Man Chen, Fan Yang et al.•ARTICLE•Forensic Sciences Research•2025•Referencias: 22

Short tandem repeats have been essential and fundamental genetic markers used in forensic individual discrimination and paternity testing since their discovery, especially those used in the Combined DNA Index System. Nevertheless, in cases of complex kinship identification, such as full-sibling, half-sibling, and uncle-niece relationships, the combined application of additional short tandem repeat loci is necessary to reach reliable identificatio…

  • A global reference for human genetic variation

Open Access•Corresponding authors, Adam Auton et al.•ARTICLE•Nature•2015

The 1000 Genomes Project set out to provide a comprehensive description of common human genetic variation by applying whole-genome sequencing to a diverse set of individuals from multiple populations. Here we report completion of the project, having reconstructed the genomes of 2,504 individuals from 26 populations using a combination of low-coverage whole-genome sequencing, deep exome sequencing, and dense microarray genotyping. We characterized…

  • Chromosome painting between human and lorisiform prosimians

    Open Access•Wenhui Nie, Patricia C M O'Brien et al.•ARTICLE•American Journal of Physical…•2006•Referencias: 45

Multidirectional chromosome painting with probes derived from flow‐sorted chromosomes of humans ( Homo sapiens , HSA, 2n = 46) and galagos ( Galago moholi , GMO, 2n = 38) allowed us to map evolutionarily conserved chromosomal segments among humans, galagos, and slow lorises ( Nycticebus coucang , NCO, 2n = 50). In total, the 22 human autosomal painting probes detected 40 homologous chromosomal segments in the slow loris genome. The genome of the …
