Pan Exposes “Nature” as a Bad Joke
This provocation is a play script, written by Pan (goat-god of Arcadia) and Rebecca (an infantile huMan), that, more or less, exposes “nature” as a bad joke. In this duoethnographic essay, united in our desire as white settler scholars to trouble the settler colonial legacies still steeped in what counts as our “home,” we have written personal accounts of our connections to certain places. Rambling with human and non‐human beings with(in) the Wairarapa for my doctoral fieldwork was both affecting and creative.
