Relationships between Beer, Wine, and Spirits Consumption and Suicide Rates in U.S. States from 1977 to 1988
Relationships between alcohol consumption and suicide rates were examined through an ecological study. Data on total apparent per capita alcohol consumption, as well as beer, wine, and spirits consumption, from 1977 to 1988 in each of the fifty U.S. states and District of Columbia were compared with suicide rates. We randomized 135 adult asthma patients to a control group, and 132 patients to an experimental group which received a special health education intervention. Four adherence measures were documented at baseline and 12-month follow-up: correct inhaler use, inhaler adherence, medication adherence, and total adherence rating. Subjective symptomatology of asthma in an outpatient population
Characteristics of subjective symptomatology of asthma were examined within a group of 132 adult asthma patients receiving medical care in a university-based, ambulatory clinic setting. Patients responded to 36 symptom descriptions or adjectives associated with asthma which were included in a modified version of the Asthma Symptoms Checklist (ASC).
