Investigation of a modern glacimarine sedimentary environment in the fjord Kuannersuit Sulluat, Disko, West Greenland
A 56 cm long sediment core from Kuannersuit Sulluat, a fjord on the island Disko, West Greenland is used to infer modern sedimentation rates and describe the sedimentary environment. The fjord abuts a catchment area dominated by a recently surging glacier (1995–1999). Analyses of the core included magnetic susceptibility, x-radiographs and grain size analysis.
