Armenians
The Armenians, settled on the Armenian plateau since at least the collapse of the Urartian empire, inhabited an autonomous kingdom but only began to record their own history in the wake of their adoption of Christianity. The rival Roman, Persian, and Syrian cultural influences have left rich traces in the history and culture of the Late Antique Armenians.
Re-Evaluating the Eleventh Century through Linked Events and Entities
This report presents the aims and ongoing progress of the ERC-funded project “Re-Evaluating the Eleventh Century through Linked Events and Entities” (Grant #101002357).
