    ダルマキールティのクマーリラ批判を引き継いだシャーンタラクシタは,『タットヴァ・サングラハ』最終章において,クマーリラの全知者批判を斥け,全知者の存在を擁護する.そこで彼はクマーリラの散逸した著作である『ブリハット・ティーカー』から大量の詩節を前主張として引用する.そして,後主張において,クマーリラの主張を逐一否定する.本稿では,ミーマーンサーと仏教の対立を,マングースと蛇の戦いにクマーリラが例えている前主張部(TS 3154-55)と,それに対してシャーンタラクシタが答える後主張部(TS 3374-79)とを取り上げる.この議論は,クマーリラの先行著作である『シュローカ・ヴァールッティカ』には見られなかったものであり,『ブリハット・ティーカー』においてクマーリラが新たに導入した議論と推測される.本研究では,これらの詩節が,クマーリラの著作の中でどのような文脈に位置するのかを明らかにすることで,この詩節が登場する議論の文脈を整理するとともに,このような比喩が登場した背景を探ることで,この…
