The Drystone Walls of Roystone Grange
A survey of drystone field walls was made at Roystone Grange (Derbyshire), as part of the research project which was focused upon this dry upland valley in the southern part of the White Peak. Five phases of enclosure walls were identified belonging to the second millennium b. c., the Romano-British period, the high middle ages, the early modern period, and the agricultural revolution.
