The omnipotence of dream
This paper explores transhistorical curation as a methodological and conceptual framework through a case study of The Omnipotence of Dream, exhibited at the Salford Museum and Gallery (2024–2025). Focusing on British Surrealism, the exhibition paired six historic works from the museum's collection with newly commissioned contemporary responses engaging directly with the originals. There is yet to be a focused review and synthesis on non-accidental violence toward sport officials despite a surge in academic inquiry into the topic over the last 25 years.
