Survey and excavation at Manish Strand, Ensay, Western Isles in 1965, identified two midden deposits which date to the later Neolithic and Early Bronze Age. Two ‘pit’ burials containing Late Bronze Age human inhumations were also discovered during the course of the excavation

A Middle Bronze Age Round-house at Glanfeinion, near Llandinam, Powys
Small-scale rescue excavations during the course of pipeline construction have revealed a single Middle Bronze Age round-house, ring-ditch, and pits on a lowland site in the upper Severn valley with associated radiocarbon determinations which suggest a date within the range 1400–1170 cal BC. Associated finds include a large assemblage of charred naked barley and plain and decorated vessels of cordoned, bucket, and barrel urn traditions, together …

Excavations at Rattray, Aberdeenshire. A Scottish Deserted Burgh
DOCUMENTARY sources identify the deserted settlement of Rattray, Aberdeenshire, as a royal burgh from the mid 16th century and as a probable burgh of barony from the 13th century. Excavation has revealed a more complex settlement history with a late 12th- or early 13th-century defensive motte having been replaced by a more manorial establishment which encouraged the development of an adjacent settlement between the 13th and 15th centuries.
