This study tested two hypotheses: organizational power is associated with office size and interpersonal power is associated with predominant facial features. Relation of Achievement and Power Motives to Performance among Black Businessmen
A 2-yr. follow-up srudy of entrepreneurial behavior was made of 29 black businessmen. As predicted, high achievement needs were associated with performance. When the effects of power needs in combination with achievement motives were studied, high performing Ss were those with high achievement and lowered power needs; this relationship also held for social power and personal power motives
