Toward a universal semantic classification of polysemic verbs
Polysemous verbs — such as get, make, put, set, take, turn — present difficulties in understanding and, therefore, in translating. Unfortunately, bilingual or monolingual dictionaries are generally not very helpful because they list various synonymous words or expressions in an apparent mixture of meanings.
