Les fouilles de Gilat (Alon, 1976) ont mis au jour, dans un contexte Ghassoulien, une figurine de femme assise, portant une baratte sur sa tete, un petit objet sous le bras gauche. On ne connaissait aucun objet analogue. L'A. suggere une statuette analogue, egyptienne (Petrie 1896, Pl. XLV, 21): un homme au corps en forme de tonnelet, la tete plate (devant porter un objet?).
