Case for investment in tobacco cessation
This study aimed to estimate the return on investments of three population-level tobacco cessation strategies and three pharmacological interventions. The analysis included 124 low- and middle-income countries, and assumed a 10-year investment period (2021–2030). The results show the importance of the depth of the enforcement infrastructure and effort represented by the degree to which the local government is involved in enforcement.
