Victim Attractiveness and Perceptions of Responsiblity in an Ambiguous Rape Case
This study tests the main hypothesis that the physical attractiveness of the victim in a rape case affects people's judgments of her responsibility when the details of the case leave unclear whether or not a rape actually took place. Effect of Reinstating Initial Response on the Shift to Risk
30 male and 30 female subjects were exposed to 3 risk and 3 caution dilemmas in a group-shift experiment. Half the subjects, the Control condition, went through the standard paradigm. The other half, the Reinstatement condition, were allowed to see their original prediscussion responses before making their final postdiscussion responses.
