Sex and age as moderators in the expression of internalizing and externalizing behaviors
Findings indicate that the expression of behavioral problems among anxiety-referred youth differs by both sex and developmental stage. Early externalizing difficulties in boys and later-emerging internalizing difficulties in girls suggest that findings may inform age- and sex-sensitive approaches to assessment and intervention to age- and sex-specific trajectories in pediatric anxiety populations
What's so special about special education? Voicing special education students' perspectives in smaller classes in upper secondary school
In this study, we interviewed nine students with special educational needs participating in smaller group settings in upper secondary school. The results indicate that even though these students are placed in smaller groups, which may be understood as segregation, they describe their educational setting in a positive way, seem to thrive socially and appreciate that teachers follow them closely. This qualitative study explored the experiences of individuals testing a novel internet-delivered acceptance and commitment therapy program (iACT) for patients with mild and moderate depressive disorder. The purpose of this study was to examine Internet trends data and sentiment in tweets mentioning autism, Asperger syndrome, and Greta Thunberg during 2019.
