Children's health and development outcomes follow a social gradient: the further up the socioeconomic spectrum, the better the outcomes. Improving hepatitis B immunization among high-risk adolescents
The results of our study indicate that hepatitis B vaccination programs can be improved through such steps as providing vaccinations at a convenient site, educating adolescents about hepatitis B risk factors, and emphasizing the difficulty of treating hepatitis B infection
Hepatitis A among schoolchildren in a US-Mexico border community
OBJECTIVES: A cross-sectional study investigated the association of hepatitis A seropositivity with environmental and personal risk factors among children in a United States-Mexico border community. METHODS: Hepatitis A serological markers and a questionnaire identifying risk factors were evaluated for 523 primary school children.
